🐐 Transforming Livelihoods with Small Ruminants
Imagine Afrika supported 490 households with small ruminants such as goats and Rabits, bringing lasting economic and agricultural benefits to communities in Zomba and Chikwawa. These animals are more than a source of livelihood—they are a source of transformation.
“The goats we received not only provide us with income but help us grow healthier crops with natural manure. We are farming smarter and greener.” – Beneficiary, Zomba.

The ruminants have become a key driver in organic manure production, enabling families to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers. The manure is used to enrich soil quality, increase yields, and protect the environment from harmful runoff.
This initiative is a perfect example of circular sustainability—where livestock, agriculture, and environmental health are interconnected. With small animals now playing a big role in climate-smart farming, Imagine Afrika continues to empower rural communities with resilient, eco-friendly solutions.
